CHALLENGE

UBC PROJECT

The operations team at UBC was looking to improve the acoustic performance for two of their auditoriums in the CHBE Building.  We designed and installed acoustic material panels on the perimeter wall and ceilings of the auditoriums.

OUR FOCUS

This institutional renovation included acoustic treatment of rooms 101 & 102 of the Chemical and Biological Engineering Building (CHBE), located at 2360 East mall, UBC Main Campus.

Focus Project Management was brought on as the general contractor and construction management firm for the project. We worked alongside the team at Harmsworth Architecture Inc to achieve the acoustic requirements and design.

The scope of work included the demolition of existing acoustic treatment and installation of new acoustic treatment on the walls and ceiling, including around existing fixtures and equipment, some of which required dismounting and remounting during construction.

Our team is so proud of our involvement with this project. Thank you to all the partners & collaborators!
